sir, the indian constitution provides for dual citizenship to 16 countries as per the citizenship amendment act, 2005. pl. take note

    • Karan Grover

Mr. Abhishek, The Indian constitution only provides single citizenship, however there are debates that the newly introduced concepts like PIO(Person of Indian Origin) & OCI(Overseas citizenship of India) provides dual citizenship.
But the fact is that these two concepts offers some privilege to the beneficiary to reside in India for some fixed time duration. The PIO and OCI don’t offer permanent Indian citizenship.
