Q.11: The highest peak in the Indian territory is Kangchenjunga (3rd highest, after Everest and K2), which lies at the Indo-Nepal border in Sikkim.
admin
Thanks for your comments. My question was basically asking the peak which is entirely within the territories of India excluding POK. Of course Kancenjunga is the highest peak, but being Kangchenjunga on the border of India and Nepal, I maintain Nanda devi as a correct answer. To avoid any confusion, let me maintain that
1. The Highest peak in India is Kanchenjunga.
2. The Highest peak entirely in Indian territory, exluding POK is Nanda Devi.
3. The Highest peak in India (Including the area which we claim but has been occupied by Pakistan as POK) : K2
