Vice-President Inaugurates 9th India International Water Week 2026

The 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 was inaugurated on 22 September 2026 by Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The five-day event is being held from 22 to 26 September 2026 with the theme “Climate Resilient Water Management”.

India International Water Week is an international water sector event organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti. The 2026 edition brings together more than 5,000 delegates, including policymakers, water experts, researchers, and global water leaders.

Partner Countries and Partner States

The Netherlands and Germany are participating as Partner Countries in IIWW 2026. Fourteen Indian states are participating as partner states in the event.

Associated Events and Focus Areas

An international exhibition on water management technologies and solutions is being held from 22 to 25 September 2026 alongside the main conference. The Second International WASH Conference 2026 is also being organised from 22 to 24 September 2026, with focus on drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene.
