Surat-Chennai National Highway Corridor

Surat-Chennai National Highway Corridor is an ambitious project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, a centrally sponsored road and highways project. This 1,461 km long corridor will pass through Nasik, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Kalburgi, Kurnool, Kadappa and Tirupathi. The project is expected to improve the road connectivity and reduce the distance between Chennai and Mumbai by roughly 100-120 km. The land acquisition for this project in Nashik is to commence soon.
