Swati Chaudhary won silver in the women’s individual W1 archery event. She lost the final to China’s Mengkan Cen by 4–6. Chaudhary’s medal was India’s first-ever medal in the W1 archery category at the Asian Para Games. Athletes in this class may compete using a compound or recurve bow under classification-specific equipment rules.
Para-Sport Classification and Other Medal
Para-sport classifications group athletes according to the impact of their eligible impairments on a sport’s activities. In para athletics, F54 is a seated throwing classification for athletes with eligible impairments affecting lower-limb function and trunk control.
