India’s Ariha Wins Historic Gold at Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships

Indian gymnast Ariha Pangambam of Imphal, Manipur, won India’s first senior gold medal in the individual women’s category at the Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships on 7 August 2026. The championship was held in Tagaytay City, Philippines, from 4 August to 7 August 2026 under the sanction of the Asian Gymnastics Union.

Aerobic gymnastics is a competitive gymnastics discipline governed internationally by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique. The 2026 Asian Championships brought together more than 400 athletes and officials from 11 countries. Pangambam won the final with a score of 19.100, including 8.650 for artistry, 7.600 for execution, and 2.850 for difficulty.
