India Wins Silver in Asian Games 50m Rifle Team Event

India won the silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions team event at the Asian Games on 25 September 2026. The Indian team of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Niraj Kumar, and Rudrankksh Patil scored 1762-94x and finished second behind China at the Aichi Pref. General Shooting Gallery in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

50m Rifle 3 Positions Event

The men’s 50m rifle 3 positions is a shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. Each shooter fires from three positions, namely kneeling, prone, and standing, at a distance of 50 metres.

Asian Games Shooting Format

The Asian Games include individual and team shooting events across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines. Team scores are usually calculated from the aggregate of the shooters’ individual scores in the qualification round.

Medal Results and Scores

China won gold with 1766-95x, and South Korea won bronze with 1751-87x in the same event. India had won gold in this event at the 2022 Asian Games before finishing second in the 2026 edition.
