Notes:
Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the ‘Best Marine District’ award, by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
Kalahandi of Odisha as Best Inland District and Nagaon of Assam had been declared as Best Hilly and North Eastern District. The award would be presented at the World Fisheries Day 2020 celebrations at New Delhi.

Notes:
The Agreement establishing an African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was signed in 2018, in Kigali, Rwanda.
The AfCFTA is expected to become operational on 1 January 2021, which will be the world’s largest free trade area by number of countries. It will also create a single African market for goods and services. Africa Industrialization Day is celebrated on November 20 every year.

India’s first moss garden has been developed at Khurpatal, Nainital district, Uttarakhand. It was inaugurated by renowned water conservation activist Rajendra Singh.
The moss garden was approved under the CAMPA scheme by the Uttarakhand Forest Department, last year. It aims to conserve various species of moss and other bryophytes. Two of the moss species found here- Hyophila involuta (Cement Moss) and Brachythecium Buchanani are in IUCN red list.

An Internal Working Group (IWG) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recommended raising the cap on promoters’ stake in private sector banks to 26% in 15 years.
At present, the percentage of stake is mandated at 15% of the equity share capital of the bank. The group also suggested to allow large corporate or industrial houses, as promoters of banks after necessary amendments to the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

As per the G-20 Riyadh Summit Leaders Declaration, India is set to swap the Presidency of G-20 with Indonesia, to host the summit in the year 2023.
Initially, it was announced that India is set to host the G 20 summit in 2022, the 75th year of Independence. Now, Indonesia will assume G-20 presidency in 2022 as it would chair the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2023.

China has successfully launched the Chang’e-5 lunar probe, to collect samples from the moon’s surface and return to earth.
In the country’s first attempt to retrieve materials from an extra-terrestrial body, the unmanned space mission was launched from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern province of Hainan. The spacecraft was launched by a Long March-5 rocket.

The Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur is observed across the country as Shaheed Diwas every year on November 24.
In the year 1675, Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth of the ten Gurus of the Sikhism was executed. He was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind. He had also contributed many hymns to the Guru Granth Sahib.

As per a recent survey conducted by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Ernst & Young, Multi-national Companies regard India as their first option, in terms of investments across the globe.
Out of the total key decision makers of those MNCs, 82 per cent of them said that they have plans to expand their business in the next 2 to 3 years. After India, the second most favourable place is North America followed by the rest of Asia-Pacific.

American messaging app Snapchat has recently rolled out a new short-video making feature called ‘Spotlight’.
It would allow users to share short-form videos publicly in its Snapchat app. By the launch of the new feature, Snap Inc. is expected to compete with ByteDance-owned TikTok and Instagram Reels launched by Facebook.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has launched Sahakar Pragya, the 45 new training modules developed by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
The modules will impart training to primary cooperative societies in rural areas of the country. The National Cooperative Development Corporation is a statutory Corporation, under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
