The draft “G20 High-Level Principles on Hydrogen” has been proposed by India recently. The discussion on global standards for ‘green, clean, and low carbon’ hydrogen was proposed at the G20 Energy Transition Working Group meeting.
It aims to set global standards for green, clean and low carbon hydrogen. It moots for an emission limit of up to 2 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent per kg of hydrogen produced.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recently released the updated data in the Atlas of Mortality and Economic Losses from Weather, Climate and Water-related hazards.
It revealed that Bangladesh and India witnessed the highest number of deaths caused by climate-related disasters between 1970 and 2021.

Article 123 of the Indian Constitution allows the President to promulgate the ordinance during recess of the Parliament. The ordinance has the same force and effect as the Act of Parliament.
President of India exercised legislative power under Article 123 of the Constitution, during the period Parliament was in recess, to promulgate The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 (Ordinance).

INDUS-X is a joint initiative of the United States and India. Under this initiative, the two countries will collaborate to co-produce jet engines, infantry vehicles and long-range artillery.
It also aims to promote partnerships between the two countries’ defence innovation ecosystems. Some high-technology initiatives are expected to be announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the U.S. in June 2024.

The ‘State of Ransomware 2023’ report revealed that 73 per cent of India-based organisations that were surveyed were victims to ransomware.
As per the report, 43 percent of organizations that were surveyed had their data encrypted but still had to pay ransom.

Volt Typhoon is a China-backed hacking group. It was recently revealed that this hacking group is developing capabilities that could potentially disrupt critical communication infrastructure between the US and Asia during future crises.
Volt Typhoon has been active since mid-2021 and has targeted critical infrastructure organizations in Guam and elsewhere in the United States.
