The recently released Global Oil Infrastructure Tracker revealed that India is among the top five developers of oil pipelines that are under construction or proposed.
Other top developers are the US, Iraq, Iran and Tanzania. The country is constructing 1,630 km long oil transmission pipelines, ranking second globally in the pipelines under construction category.

The 5th Edition of Global Ayurveda Festival will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from District 1 to 5 this year.
The event will focus on highlighting the huge potential provided by Ayurveda in solving the health challenges of the present world. It is aimed at setting a platform for global networking of Ayurveda practitioners and stakeholders.

During the Kharif 2022-23 season, the Odisha state government has procured some 600,000 quintals of ragi or finger millet under Odisha Millet Mission.
The crop was procured at an MSP of Rs 3,578 per quintal. The Mission is an initiative of state’s department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to revive millets in collaboration with WSHGs, FPOs, NCDS, WASSAN and local NGOs.

Poland recently received the first batch of the US-made HIMARS rocket launchers. These rockets will be deployed at the region bordering Russia.
Poland is buying billions of dollars’ worth of weapons, chiefly from the US and South Korea. This step is a part of a defence upgrade amid security concerns due to the war in neighbouring Ukraine.

U.S.-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) was launched in May 2022. The first-ever meeting of the Strategic Trade Dialogue to implement the outcomes of the US-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology is set to be held shortly.
This meeting is expected to help streamline export controls, improve high-tech commerce and facilitate tech transfer between countries.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the two-day National Ayush Mission Conclave in New Delhi.
National Ayush Mission (NAM) is the flagship program of Ministry of Ayush and with active cooperation of states and UT governments. The two days conclave will pave way for coordination among stakeholders and strengthen functioning of AHWCs.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal has been assigned the independent charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice in addition to his existing portfolios.
Mr Meghwal will replace Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who will now hold the portfolio of Ministry of Earth Sciences. Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel has been assigned as Minister of State in the Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

A dotted land is a disputed land that does not have a clear ownership documents. The Andhra Pradesh government has recently commenced the removal of dotted lands in the state from prohibited list.
Over 2 lakh acres of the British-era dotted lands have been identified for permanent denotification.
