AT2021lwx is the largest cosmic explosion to be ever observed. It was observed by a group of astronomers led by the University of Southampton.
The explosion is said to be ten times brighter than any known supernova, the explosions that occur as massive stars die.

INS Mormugao is the second ship of the Visakhapatnam-class stealth guided-missile destroyers of the Indian Navy.
It was built at Mazagon Dock Limited and the ship was commissioned on 18 December 2022. A Brahmos Supersonic cruise missile was test fired using this vessel recently.

Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members have unanimously adopted India’s proposal for developing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
India has the record of developing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) like the UPI and Aadhaar to ease government services.

Indian boxers Mohammad Hussamuddin (57kg), Deepak Bhoria (51 kg) and Nishant Dev (71 kg) signed off with bronze medals at the World Championships in Tashkent.
Hussamuddin was forced to withdraw from his semi-final bout after suffering a knee injury.

Amy Pope of the United States was recently elected as the direct general of the International Organization for Migration.
She is the first woman to take up this position in the organisation in its more than 70-year-old history. USA is the largest bilateral donor of the International Organization for Migration.

Mukhya Mantri Himachal Health Care Scheme (HIMCARE) is being implemented by the Himachal Pradesh government since 1st January, 2019.
Under HIMCARE Scheme, cashless treatment coverage up to Rs. 5.00 lakh per year per family is being provided in the empanelled hospitals. Under this initiative, Himcare cards were distributed to jail inmates.

Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana (Chief Minister Learn and Earn Scheme) was approved by the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet.
Youth who have passed class 12, ITI, UG and PG are eligible for this scheme. The scheme will provide stipend to the youths along with training, skill upgradation will boost their employment opportunities and pave way for a better way of earning.

Notes:
The Andhra Pradesh government recently released Rs.123.52 crore to around 1.2 lakh fishermen’s families under the YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme.
The scheme involves providing Rs.10,000 to fishermen’s family during the annual ban period on marine fishing from April 15 to June 14.
