The 5th-century-old Kapileshwar temple was renovated by Gajapati Kapilendra Dev in the 14th Century and is well known for its carvings and architecture. The Kapilesvara Temple is a fine example of the Kalinga style of architecture, which is known for its elegance and simplicity.

A report titled “Turning off the Tap: How the world can end plastic pollution and create a circular economy” was released recently by UNEP.
According to this report, global plastic pollution can be reduced by 80% by 2040 if deep policy and market shifts are achieved using existing technologies and shift to circular economy.

Kishtwar High Altitude National Park is situated in Jammu and Kashmir. A camera trap recently recorded the presence of snow leopard in this national park.
This sanctuary has an altitude range of 1700 to 4800 Metres, providing a natural habitat to various species of mammals and of birds.

The Telecom Department has developed an AI-based facial recognition tool called the Artificial Intelligence and Facial Recognition powered Solution for Telecom SIM Subscriber Verification (ASTR). It is capable of running checks on subscriber databases of telecom operators to minimize instances of cyber frauds.

The state government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to launch a 5G technology training programme under the Skill Development Mission.
It seeks to create skilled workforce for operating the new and future employable technologies.

The Central Government has recently revamped the rules governing the approval for mergers and acquisitions (M&As) of startups and MSMEs.
The aim of the new rules is to simplify the M&A process to enable the securing of approval within 15 to 60 days, as per a  Corporate affairs ministry (MCA) notification.

Presidents of Russia and Iran have signed an agreement via a video link to finalize the construction of the Rasht (Iranian city on Caspian Sea)-Astara (Azerbaijan) railway.
The project is expected to boost the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC).

The sixth submarine of the first batch of six Kalvari-class submarines for the Indian Navy under Project-75 is Vaghsheer.
The submarine is expected to be delivered to the Indian Navy in early 2024. The submarine was launched in 2022 by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL).
