The SEBI has proposed major changes to the mutual fund fees to address the issue of mis-selling and minimize costs of investing in mutual funds.
According to this recommendation, the total expense ratio, which refers to the annual fee collected by asset managers from unitholders, should be standardized across different scheme categories like equity or debt in mutual funds.

Scientists from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) have proposed a new metric called the root mean square (rms) granulation contrast.
Its purpose is to quantify the image quality of ground-based solar telescopes.

The Himachal Pradesh government is currently formulating a Green Hydrogen Policy. This policy seeks to promote the use of green hydrogen and establish the state as a leading hub for its production.
The primary objective of the policy is to attract investments in large-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring a consistent and sustainable supply of green electricity for electrolysis.

Monpa Handmade Paper-making art is a 1,000-year-old traditional art that originated from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
For the last 100 years, this handmade paper industry had almost disappeared. Khadi and Village Industries Commission(KVIC) is playing a crucial role in reviving this art.

Janganana Bhawan was inaugurated recently by Union Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. It is the office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India.
He also launched Web portal for Birth and Death Registration, an Upgraded SRS Mobile Application with Geofencing, and Web portal for Online Sale of Census Publications. Mr Shah also released Census Compendium from 1981 to upcoming Census.

Maharana Pratap Lok will be built by the Madhya Pradesh government. The ‘Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Lok’ will be constructed in Bhopal.
It will be set up in memory of the Rajput King of Mewar Maharana Pratap. The Chief Minister also declared Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary as holiday in the state.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recently released the updated data in the Atlas of Mortality and Economic Losses from Weather, Climate and Water-related hazards.
It revealed that Bangladesh and India witnessed the highest number of deaths caused by climate-related disasters between 1970 and 2021.

The Central Government recently released the biggest-ever bifurcation dues for the Andhra Pradesh government, amounting to Rs.10,460 crore.
This is the largest compensation since the bifurcation in June 2014. The amount released to Andhra Pradesh till last year was only Rs 4,117.89 crore.
