World Economic Situation and Prospects report was released recently by the UN. According to this report, the global economic growth is expected to 2.3 percent in 2023.
The report also expected a 2.5 per cent growth in 2024. The growth rate is still well below the average growth rate in the two decades before the pandemic of 3.1%.

An Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) study has found that Tungnath temple in Garhwal Himalayas is tilting 5 to 6 degrees and smaller structures in the complex by 10 degrees.

According to this report, more than three-fourth of the income of regional parties came from unknown sources in 2021-22.

A report from the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva revealed that in 2022, approximately 2.5 million people in India were internally displaced as a result of natural disasters, particularly severe floods and cyclones.
The South Asia region experienced a total of 12.5 million internal displacements due to disasters, with floods accounting for 90% of the displacements in the area.

The UK government has unveiled a new semiconductor strategy to minimize its dependence on Asian production of computer chips.
Under this strategy, the government will invest around 1.2 billion USD over the next decade into the semiconductor industry.

Prime Minister Modi and other leaders at the G7 Summit have visited this museum recently.

Data Centre Q1 2023 report was released recently by the international property consultant Knight Frank.
According to this report, Mumbai, India’s commercial capital, boasts a capacity of 2,337 MW, placing it among the top three data centre markets in the region. Shanghai leads with a capacity of 2,692 MW, followed closely by Tokyo with 2,575 MW.
