“Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar” is a mega campaign of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Its aim is to promote the reduce, reuse and recycle concept in waste management. This nationwide campaign aims to highlight cities to setup ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) Centres, one stop collection centres to contribute clothes, shoes, old books, toys and used plastic to be reused or recycled.

Amy Pope of the United States was recently elected as the direct general of the International Organization for Migration.
She is the first woman to take up this position in the organisation in its more than 70-year-old history. USA is the largest bilateral donor of the International Organization for Migration.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) has relaxed norms for surety bonds to expand the surety insurance market.
Surety bond is a type of insurance policy that protects the party involved in a transaction or contract from potential financial loss caused by the breach of contract or other types of non-performance.

Notes:
The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently released a new guideline on non-sugar sweeteners (NSS).
It recommends against the use of NSS to control body weight or reduce the risk of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). The long-term usage of NSS can be ineffective and result in health problems.

The state government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to launch a 5G technology training programme under the Skill Development Mission.
It seeks to create skilled workforce for operating the new and future employable technologies.

Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana (Chief Minister Learn and Earn Scheme) was approved by the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet.
Youth who have passed class 12, ITI, UG and PG are eligible for this scheme. The scheme will provide stipend to the youths along with training, skill upgradation will boost their employment opportunities and pave way for a better way of earning.

A dotted land is a disputed land that does not have a clear ownership documents. The Andhra Pradesh government has recently commenced the removal of dotted lands in the state from prohibited list.
Over 2 lakh acres of the British-era dotted lands have been identified for permanent denotification.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has proposed changes to the definition of unpublished price sensitive information (UPSI) in order to establish clear regulations and ensure consistent compliance among listed companies.
The proposal was made in response to the inadequate categorization of announcements as UPSI and the subsequent compliance with legal requirements by listed entities.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI has decided to withdraw Rs.2,000 denominated notes from circulation.
It has urged everyone to exchange these notes by September 30 this year.  However, the notes will continue as legal tender. Exchange of Rs 2,000 notes into notes of other denominations can be made upto a limit of Rs 20,000.

Rayyanah Barnawi is the first Arab woman astronaut to go to space as part of Saudi Arabia’s maiden space mission.
She is part of a team which recently went to the International Space Station (ISS) in a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
