The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the launch of the ‘100 Days 100 Pays’ campaign by banks recently.
It aims to trace and settle top 100 unclaimed deposits of every bank in every district of the country within 100 days. An unclaimed deposit is one which does not see any activity like the infusion of funds, withdrawal from the depositor for 10 years or more.

Notes:
The ‘Non-aqueous all-organic redox flow battery’ (NORFB) was developed recently by scientists at IIT Madras. It is a flow battery that promises to provide better performance.
The Researchers have developed a new type of electrolyte using ‘pyrylium salts’, which are a class of organic chemicals. The battery has been demonstrated with an average coulombic efficiency of 97 per cent.

Poland recently received the first batch of the US-made HIMARS rocket launchers. These rockets will be deployed at the region bordering Russia.
Poland is buying billions of dollars’ worth of weapons, chiefly from the US and South Korea. This step is a part of a defence upgrade amid security concerns due to the war in neighbouring Ukraine.

In Thailand, voters have favoured Pita Limjaroenrat’s Move Forward party. The party is set to win 151 of the 500 seats in the lower house.
Voters rejected a decade of army-backed rule, handing more seats and votes to Move Forward than any other party.

Comet Read is the main belt comet that is found in the main asteroid belt but has a halo or coma and a tail like a comet. It is one of the three comets used to establish the category of main belt comets.
James Webb Space Telescope’s finding is intriguing because this is the first-time water has been found in the main asteroid belt, which is located between Mars and Jupiter.

AutoGrow Project is implemented jointly by the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB).
Under this project, an automated greenhouse system is developed for precision in agriculture.  The system has three configurations; hydroponics, open grow farming, and vertical setup.

Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) is the flagship initiative of the Union Defence Ministry. It recently reached a millstone with the signing of the 250th contract.
The contract is the first one under the Mission DefSpace, and the 100th SPRINT (Navy) contract. Mission DefSpace was launched with 75 Defence Space Challenges to be addressed by the private sector.

Kishtwar High Altitude National Park is situated in Jammu and Kashmir. A camera trap recently recorded the presence of snow leopard in this national park.
This sanctuary has an altitude range of 1700 to 4800 Metres, providing a natural habitat to various species of mammals and of birds.

The ’75/25′ initiative was unveiled by the Union Health Ministry on the occasion of World Hypertension Day.
Indian Government’s target of reaching 75 million people with Hypertension under standard care in primary healthcare by 2025 is the largest cover of NCDs in the world for primary healthcare.

Notes:
The UK government has unveiled a new semiconductor strategy to minimize its dependence on Asian production of computer chips.
Under this strategy, the government will invest around 1.2 billion USD over the next decade into the semiconductor industry.
