India’s first undersea tunnel is being constructed in Mumbai, as a part of the Coastal Road project of the city. It is expected to be completed by the year 2023.
The twin tunnels have a length of 2.07 km of which around a kilometre will be under the Arabian Sea. The undersea tunnel will be 20 metres below the seabed.

The Union Agriculture Ministry’s flagship scheme PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) has completed 2 years on 24th February 2021.
This is a 100% central sector scheme, under which income support of Rs.6000/- per year would be given to farmer families in three instalments. The funds would be directly transferred to the beneficiaries through DBT mode.

The world’s largest cricket stadium located at Motera in Ahmedabad has been renamed as the Narendra Modi Stadium. It was inaugurated recently, by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind recently.
The stadium is built as a part of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, which is spread in 220 acres in the banks of Sabarmati river.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has constituted an internal working group committee to revisit its information and security guidelines.

India off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest Indian bowler to take 400 Test wickets, while playing at his 77th Test.
In the international level, he is only behind Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan, who reached the milestone in 72 Tests. Earlier, he also became the fourth Indian bowler with the most wickets in international cricket with 599 wickets across formats.

The insurance regulator IRDAI has proposed a standard personal accident cover, named Saral Suraksha Bima.
All general and standalone health insurers have to mandatorily offer the policy from April 1 this year. The product will have a maximum sum assured of Rs 1 crore and minimum of Rs 2.5 lakh. The sum insured will also increase by 5 per cent each year for each claim-free policy year.

E-Daakhil portal was launched on 7th September, 2020 by the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. The portal has been designed for Consumer grievance redressal and is presently operating in 15 States and Union Territories.
It has been now decided to integrate the Common Service Centres with the e-daakhil portal.

He was also the island nation’s longest-serving leader after it gained independence from Australia in 1975. Before independence, he served as the Chief minister of the Australian-administered territory of Papua New Guinea.
