According to the provisional data from the Union Commerce Ministry of India, the two-way trade stood at USD 77.7 billion last year.
With this, China regained its position as India’s top trade partner in 2020, with the higher reliance of India on imported machines. The bilateral trade with the United States stood at USD 75.9 billion. The UAE remains the third trade partner.

The Horticulture Department of Karnataka has collaborated with International Flower Auction Bangalore, to set up a flower processing centre.
This centre is aimed to convert unsold flowers into value added and useful products like floral papers, incense sticks, flower petal powder, floral embedded works etc.

The Indian Army is in the process of acquiring 556 Augmented Reality Head Mounted Display (ARHMD) systems.
As per a recent communication from the Defence Ministry, the ARHMD system may be considered as an enhancement to the Land-based Air Defence Weapon Systems. The Army also signed a contract for the construction of eight Missile-cum-Ammunition (MCA) barges.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has constituted an internal working group committee to revisit its information and security guidelines.
This has been constituted on the wake of increase in cyberattacks across the globe in financial sector during the covid-19 pandemic.

The virtual meet of the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors was organised recently under the chairmanship of Italy. India was represented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The meeting was aimed to discuss policy actions for economic recovery. Discussion on impact of climate change on financial stability was also made in the meeting.

The Prime Minster of India Narendra Modi has inaugurated India’s first of its kind “India Toy Fair 2021”. This is a virtual exhibition that is being held from 27th Feb to 2nd March.
It enables the users to not only buy toys but also participate in events, activities and network with the various stakeholders of the Toy Industry.

Nag river is a 17-km long river flowing through the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra. Originating from the Lava Hills, it is part of the Kanhan-Pench river system.
Recently, Nag River Pollution Abatement Project was approved with an outlay of Rs.2,117.54 crores. The aim of this project is to address the issue of pollution of Nag river caused by sewage and industrial wastes.

The Ministry of Tourism launched the PRASAD Scheme in the year 2014-2015. The full form of PRASAD Scheme is Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spirituality Augmentation Drive.
The scheme aims at infrastructure development such as last mile connectivity, entry points, eco-friendly modes of transport, interpretation centres, ATM/Money exchanges, and other basic tourism facilities.

The Meghalaya Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 was recently announced by the state government of Meghalaya. It will come to effect from April 1 this year.
The dedicated policy has set a target of 15 per cent electric vehicle penetration by the year 2025. The plan involves providing incentives to limited early adopters of EV.

Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, is the highest peak in Africa. With height of 5,895 metres, it the highest single free-standing mountain in the world.
This large dormant strato-volcano consists of three volcanic cones – Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. A nine-year-old from Andhra Pradesh Kadapala Rithvika Sri has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. She is also the youngest Asian girl to climb the Mountain.
