The Finance Ministry lowered the threshold for mandatory e-invoicing to Rs 50 crore, from the earlier limit of Rs 100 crore.
As per the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) notification, the new rule will come into effect from April 1. E-invoicing involves reporting details of specified GST documents to a government-notified portal.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched the online 5G certification course for its officials.
The Department aims to create an in-house pool of 5G experts and policymakers, by launching a 12-week online course, which will be conducted by National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation & Training (NTIPRIT), the training arm of the department.

As per a recent release by NASA, the rock and mineral deposits found on the Turkish Lake Salda, has the closest resemblance to the Jezero Crater of Mars.
NASA’s spacecraft Perseverance has landed on the Jezero Crater of Mars, which is said to be once flooded with water.

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has recently notified a draft excise policy for allotting liquor vends by means of e auction for the year 2021-22.
As per the policy, the number of liquor vending units would remain the same as that of the previous years and the allotment would be valid for a period of one year.

Indian Actor Amitabh Bachchan will be conferred with the prestigious FIAF (International Federation of Film Archives) Award for his contribution in the field to preserve the world’s film heritage. He would be the first Indian film personality to receive this honor.
The International Federation of Film Archives was founded in Paris in 1938. It is headquartered at Brussels, Belgium.

The Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa launched ‘Xcelerator Bangalore’ (XB) initiative. It has been launched to provide support to women-owned micro-businesses.
XB is a curated six-month accelerator programme, jointly organised by UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations, the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), and Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME).

As per a recent study published in the journal Scientific Reports, the warming of oceans is said to have affected the metabolism of sharks.
The sharks reared in the warmest temperatures weighed less than those raised in average temperatures. The baby sharks are at risk of being born smaller, without the energy needed to survive.

The ICAR – Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research (llSR) is located in Lucknow, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have granted a conditional exemption to IISR to use drones. The institute would conduct trials to evaluate drone spraying solution for controlling pest and diseases of sugarcane crop using drones.

The American space agency NASA has stated that the largest asteroid 2001 FO32 would pass by the earth at a very close distance of 1.25 million miles, this year.
The asteroid is estimated to be 3,000 feet in diameter and was discovered 20 years ago.

Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries has commenced a Japanese-Australian venture test project to produce liquefied hydrogen from coal.
The project aims to produce hydrogen from coal available in Australia and safely export the same to Japan. The test project is being conducted in state of Victoria which has the world’s most abundant coal reserves.
