The Indian Air Force (IAF) aerobatic display teams, Suryakiran and Sarang, along with Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, are set to participate in the three-day Air Show.
The Air Show is a part of the 70th-anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF). Earlier, the SKAT- Suryakiran Aerobatic team participated in the 50th anniversary of SLAF in 2001, in Sri Lanka.

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PM-BJP) is an initiative of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, under which quality medicines are provided to the general public at affordable cost. This scheme is being implemented through Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI).
The organisation is celebrating the 3rd Janaushadhi Diwas on 7th March 2021, with the theme being “Seva bhi – Rozgar bhi”.

The National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Non-immigrants (NO BAN) Act was reintroduced at the US House of Representatives by the Democratic lawmakers.
The aim of this proposed legislation is to prevent future Muslim ban and prohibit religion-based discrimination. This law is a counter to the Muslim travel ban introduced by the former US President Donald Trump.

World Wildlife Day is observed on March 3 across the world to celebrate wildlife and create awareness about the adverse impact of human activities and climate change on the wildlife.
This year, it is being celebrated under the theme- Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet.

Nag river is a 17-km long river flowing through the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra. Originating from the Lava Hills, it is part of the Kanhan-Pench river system.
Recently, Nag River Pollution Abatement Project was approved with an outlay of Rs.2,117.54 crores. The aim of this project is to address the issue of pollution of Nag river caused by sewage and industrial wastes.

Iranaitivu is an island belonging to Sri Lanka located in the Gulf of Mannar. It is located 300 km away from the country’s capital, Colombo.
This remote island was recently chosen as the burial site for COVID-19 victims belonging to Islamic and Christian communities. The Sri Lankan government had previously forced minorities to cremate their dead.

Physarum polycephalum is a single-cell slime mold. It was recently found to be capable of saving memories despite the absence of nervous system.
This finding deviates from the traditional assumption that memories are held by only by those organisms with a nervous system.

Maritime India Vision 2030 is a 10-year strategy with the objective of revamping the Indian maritime sector. It seeks to attract Rs.3 lakh crore investment and generate employment for 20 lakh individuals.
The plan also seeks to augment the annual revenue potential worth Rs.20,000 crore from major ports.

Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli became the first Asian celebrity to reach the 100 million followers-milestone on Instagram.
Portuguese star footballer Christiano Ronaldo tops the chart with 266 million followers, followed by singer Ariana Grande with 224 million followers and former WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson with 220 million followers. Footballers Messi and Neymar are also in the Top-5 list.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fiji, for co-operation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
The MoU provides for cooperation in various areas including promotion of joint ventures between private sectors of both countries. It includes exchange of research personnel, technology and infrastructure.
