The mother was vaccinated against COVID-19 during 36th week of her pregnancy which resulted in development of antibodies in both mother and the baby.

61-year-old Samia Suluhu Hassan assumed charge as the first women President of Tanzania. She succeeds John Magufui, who dies recently in a controversial manner.
Tanzania is an East African nation with Dodoma as capital and Tanzanian shilling as its currency. Its national language is Swahili.

India is set to conduct airborne radar surveys to estimate the thickness of Himalayan glaciers. A pilot study is to be conducted in Lahaul-Spiti basin of Himachal Pradesh.
After the pilot project, similar studies will be conducted in Indus, Ganga and Brahmaputra sub-basins. National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Ministry of Earth Sciences proposed this survey.

The day before the Vernal Equinox of every year is observed as World Sleep Day. This year falls on 19th March. It is organised by the World Sleep Day Committee of the World Sleep Society.
By celebrating this day, the society aims to create awareness on reducing sleep problems by better prevention and management of sleep disorders

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has inaugurated the state’s first formal indigenous language and knowledge system school.
Named as ‘Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko’, the school will help in promoting and preserving indigenous traditions, culture and language. Rs 3 crore has been allocated for the development and maintenance of the school.

International Day of Forests is observed by the United Nations (UN) every year on March 21, across the world, to raise awareness of the significance of all types of forests.
The UN General Assembly proclaimed March 21 as the International Day of Forests in 2012. The theme of the International Day of Forests for 2021 is “Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being.”

The World Poetry Day is celebrated every year on March 21 by UNESCO. It was first adopted by UNESCO in the 30th General Conference in Paris in the year 1999.
This day honors poets across the globe and promotes reading, writing, and teaching of poetry. It supports linguistic diversity through poetic expressions.

Israel held its 4th parliamentary election in the last two years. The exit polls conducted did not show any clear winner.
This election was triggered in December 2020, when the country’s parliament failed to agree a budget. It ended a seven-month power sharing arrangement between Netanyahu and his main rival Benny Gantz.

Russia successfully launched 38 foreign satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The satellites were from 18 countries including South Korea, Japan and Germany.
The Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket placed all 38 spacecraft in the orbit. Among the satellites was the Challenge-1, the first satellite made completely in Tunisia

The promoters of DHFL – Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan have been charged and arrested by CBI for fraud and money laundering charges associated with Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
As per CBI, the housing finance company had opened fake and fictious home loan accounts worth Rs.14,000 crore to avail interest subsidies under PMAY amounting Rs.1880 crore.
