To boost the export of horticulture products grown in North-Eastern (NE) states, the government has formulated a strategy to promote locally produced agricultural products to the international markets.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Development and Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, organised several capacity building programmes and International Buyer-Seller Meets. APEDA also organised organized conference on the Export Potential of Natural, Organic and Geographical Indications (GI) Agro Products in Guwahati.

India’s Arjun Babuta won his first International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup stage gold, by beating Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Lucas Kozeniesky of the USA.
The championship is being held in Changwon, Korea. Mehuli Ghosh and Tushar Mane have won the 10m Air Rifle Mixed team gold at the World Cup.

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind addressed the Dhammacakka Day 2022 celebrations at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh.
The Ministry of Culture in association with the International Buddhist Confederation is celebrating the Ashadha Purnima Divas, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Ajitnath Jain Temple, one of the holy Jain Tirthankaras, at Taranga Hill, is located in the state of Gujarat.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line to provide connectivity and improve mobility. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 2798.16 crores and will be completed by 2026-27.

US aviation company Lockheed Martin has delivered a compact directed energy weapon to the Air Force Research Laboratory of the US Air Force (USAF).
The energy weapon is known as Laser Advancements of Next-Generation Compact Environments (LANCE). The development is significant due to the efforts to reduce the size of the laser energy weapon and it is now ready to be tested after being mounted on an aircraft.

India’s first e-waste Eco-park is set to be developed in Holambi Kalan in Delhi. Every year the capital city produces over two lakh tonnes of e-waste, which is about 9.5 percent of the total amount produced in India.
Delhi is now the fifth-largest producer of e-waste in India, behind Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. However, only 5 per cent of the generated e-waste is properly recycled.

Microblogging platform Moajor Twitter has announced that it is launching ‘Unmentioning’ feature, which lets users remove themselves from conversations.
The platform has deployed several features regarding the mentions including anti-harassment Safety Mode. Earlier, Elon Musk terminated the USD 44 billion deal to buy Twitter while Twitter later announced it was going to sue the Tesla CEO.

After a week-long gang violence in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince, at least 89 people dead. Raising prices, fuel shortages and gang warfare accelerated worsened the security situation in Port-au-Prince.
The violence erupted between two rival factions in Cite Soleil, an impoverished and densely populated neighborhood of Port-au-Prince.

The National Health Authority (NHA) has commenced its first hackathon under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Hackathon Series at the Smart City Operations Centre, Pune in a hybrid format.
The hackathon is being organised under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in association with Pune Municipal Corporation and Pune Smart City Development Corporation. The hackathon is focussed at mobilising the health start-ups in India to develop innovative solutions.

Notes:
NHPC has recently signed two agreements to develop green hydrogen technology in Leh, Kargil districts.
As per the agreement signed for Leh district, NHPC will develop a Pilot Green Hydrogen fuel cell-based Microgrid, including hydrogen production, to meet its power requirement. The hydrogen generated in Kargil will be used in fuel cells, to run buses in the local area.
