Notes:
Ola Electric launched the country’s first indigenously developed lithium ion cell. The Bengaluru-based two-wheeler maker is set to begin the mass production of the cell ‘NMC 2170’, from its Chennai-based Gigafactory by 2023.
The cell packs more energy in a given space and also improves the overall life cycle of the cell, due to the specific chemicals and materials used.

Notes:
The annual Kanwar Yatra began recently after a gap of two years. It was cancelled for the last two years due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Kanwar Yatra is celebrated by Hindus and it will pass through Meerut, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Shamli, and Bhagpat districts in Uttar Pradesh. It will conclude in Haridwar, Gomukh, and Gangotri in Uttarakhand.

Notes:
The ancient Buddhist city, Mes Aynak was a vast city organised around the extraction and trade of copper. It was carved out of peaks near Kabul in Afghanistan.
It was believed to be between 1,000 and 2,000 years old. In 2007 the Chinese mining giant Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) signed a USD 3 billion contract to mine ore over 30 years. The project is once again a priority for Talibans and China.

The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, launched the Platform of Platforms (POP) under the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM).
It was launched at the State Agriculture and Horticulture Ministers’ Conference in Bengaluru, Karnataka. With POP, farmers can sell the produce outside their state borders which will increase the price realisation.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued an advisory to e-commerce platforms on the sale of Ayurvedic, Siddha and Unani (AYUSH) drugs.
As per the advisory, e-commerce platforms should sell Ayurvedic, Siddha and Unani drugs only after customers upload valid medical prescriptions from the registered practitioners on the platforms.

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) launched the ‘Knowledge Portal for Khadi’, developed by the Centre of Excellence for Khadi.
The platform aims to provide design directions to the Khadi institutions. The Centre of Excellence for Khadi has been set up by KVIC, Ministry of MSME at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), to support Khadi Institutions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun district in Uttar Pradesh.
The Bundelkhand expressway will connect Chitrakoot in the underdeveloped Bundelkhand region with the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. The 296-km-long four-lane expressway, which can be later expanded into six lanes, has been constructed at a cost of Rs 14,850 crore.

MCA21 is India’s first mission mode e-governance project. As per the Secretary of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Version 3.0 of MCA21 will be fully rolled out in the next two to three months.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is actively involved with the Ministry in the rollout of MCA V3.0.

Eleven districts of West Bengal reported over 65 cases of black fever or ‘Kala-Azar’ disease recently, based on state-administered surveillance.
Kala-azar or Visceral Leishmaniasis is a protozoan parasitic disease, spread by sand-fly bites. The flies are infected with the parasite called ‘leishmania donovani’. The disease is endemic in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

The 52nd Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB)- Border Security Force (BSF) Director General level Border conference started in Bangladesh in Dhaka.
The Indian team led by Director General, BSF Pankaj Singh arrived in Dhaka for the conference. The two sides discussed on border management, smuggling of arms and ammunition, drugs, trafficking of women and children among others.
