Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the Centre has approved a mega cluster of mangoes in Lucknow and ₹100 crore will be spent on it in the next five years.
He also said that the Mangoes in this cluster will be known as ‘Kakori brand’. The Chief Minister announced this during the inauguration of ‘Uttar Pradesh Mango Mahotsav-2022’.released the Lucknow Mango Festival Souvenir-2022 and honoured progressive farmers of the state.

Tata Group’s Air India (AI) has signed an agreement with Amadeus IT Group SA, a travel technology. This is a part of the carrier’s revitalisation plan and the agreement aims to deploy technology solutions to enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
Air India is implementing the Amadeus Altéa PSS suite, including components from revenue management, revenue accounting, retailing, and merchandising, website, mobile and frequent flyer programme management.

Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Secretary General, Mohammad Barkindo, has passed away at the age of 63.
Nigeria’s Barkindo headed the Organization since 2016 and was scheduled to be replaced by Kuwait’s Haitham Al-Ghais next month. Under his leadership, the cartel tied up with 10 other oil-producing countries, such as Russia, to form a wider group known as OPEC+.

Akasa Air is a start-up carrier, promoted by veteran stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. The airline which got Air Operator Certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), will start services in late July.
It is an Indian low-cost airline headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced the construction of Greenfield connectivity to Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana has been approved.
The budget for the project is aggregated to Rs 2,414.67 crore. The airport will be connecting Delhi Mumbai Expressway.

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) researchers have developed an Artificial Intelligence-based tool- ‘PIVOT’, which can predict cancer-causing genes in an individual.
This tool will help in devising personalized cancer treatment strategies. It is based on a machine learning model that classifies genes as tumour suppressor genes, oncogenes or neutral genes.

Charles Leclerc clinched the Austrian Grand Prix for Ferrari while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen settled for second position.
Mercedes’ seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was at third place. Leclerc’s Spanish team mate Carlos Sainz, was a first time winner at Silverstone earlier.

The Navies of China and Pakistan commenced a live-fire drill off the Shanghai coast as part of joint maritime exercise code named Sea Guardians-2.
The Navies are set to deploy their new high-tech naval ships and fighter jets to jointly deal with maritime security threats.

State Bank of India has opened India’s first dedicated branch for start-ups. Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and State Bank of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for the SBI Start-up Hub branch in Koramangala.
The collaboration will enable start-ups across the state to access banking facilities, funding, and credit facilities. In the branch, collateral-free financial assistance of Rs 2 crores will be given to start-up entrepreneurs.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai has recently become the first railway station in India to be equipped with augmented reality screens.
The technology will allow passengers at the station to get real-time digitised time table with a dedicated scrolling screen and railway information for an engaging experience. The Central Railway also launched pod hotel at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
