State Energy Efficiency Index 2021-22 was developed by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency in collaboration with the Alliance for an Energy-Efficient Economy.

USS Milius is a guided missile destroyer of the US Navy. Recently, it conducted an operation to assert navigational rights and freedoms in the South China Sea near the Spratly Islands.
The US Navy destroyer’s operation occurred while the Chinese military exhibited its power for the third consecutive day around Taiwan.

Spike Anti-Tank Missiles is a fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile and anti-personnel missile developed by Israel.
Israel signed a defense deal with Greece to provide it with over USD 400 million worth of Spike anti-tank missiles. According to Rafael, the missiles can be launched from around 45 different platforms, on land, in the air, and at sea.

The government has retained the interest rate payable on savings in General Provident Fund (GPF) at 7.1% for the April to June 2023 quarter.

The Unified Portal of Central Bureau of Narcotics has been launched by the Central Bureau of Narcotics with an objective to simplify the licensing and ExIM authorizations issued by the Bureau. The portal was launched by the Revenue Secretary Shri Sanjay Malhotra.
The unified portal would enhance the efficiency, transparency and accountability in department users, with two-fold objectives: cater the need of pharma and chemical industry; ensure availability of the “essential narcotic drugs” and medicines.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the framework for acceptance of Green Deposits of regulated entities (RE).
The idea is to foster and develop a green finance ecosystem in the country. The framework shall come into effect from June 1, 2023.

It found that India meets every international safety standard. As per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), India’s International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) category will continue to be published as Category 1.

Juice jacking is the term that was coined in 2011 to describe the security vulnerability created due to the tampering of the USB charging station to compromise linked devices.
The FBI recently warned people not to use public phone charging station or USB ports due to the presence of this threat.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) issued guidelines for the first time for conducting ‘preliminary assessment’ of child suspects.
The guidelines will help to determine whether a child should be treated as a minor or not in criminal cases which come under the ‘heinous’ offences category of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Juvenile Justice Board is responsible for conducting preliminary assessment.
