According to this report, India is one of the countries with highest vaccine confidence in the world. The popular perception of the importance of vaccines for children held firm or improved only in China, India and Mexico out of 55 countries studied.

The state government of Kerala launched the Safe Kerala Project to minimize the number of on-road accidents and prevent traffic violations in the state.
As part of this project, Artificial Intelligence-based cameras will be used to identify traffic violations and impose fines.

The GRX-810 is a 3D printed superalloy developed by NASA scientists. It is an oxide-dispersion-strengthened NiCoCr-based alloy.
It showed over 1,000-fold better creep performance, twofold improvement in strength and twofold improvement in oxidation resistance when compared with the traditional polycrystalline wrought Ni-based alloys.

Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched the 5th round of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN).
It aims to further enhance the connectivity to remote and regional areas of the country and achieve last mile connectivity. This round of UDAN focuses on Category-2 (20-80 seats) and Category-3 (>80 seats).

FOSCOS (Food Safety and Compliance System) is a web-based application of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
The food safety regulator has taken steps to translate this web application in Hindi and all the regional languages.

India has jumped six places and ranked 38 out of 139 countries in the 7th edition of World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2023.
As per the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India has seen remarkable improvement on 4 out of 6 LPI indicators. The 2023 LPI for the first time measures the speed of trade. The Index is topped by Singapore, followed by Finland.

Octopus chierchiae, also known as the lesser Pacific striped octopus, is a unique octopus species that is being proposed as a model organism for cephalopod research due to its ability to lay multiple egg clutches.
A new study published in PLOS One has revealed that the Pygmy zebra octopus has a unique and permanent stripe pattern that can help experts and non-experts monitor them in their habitat.

‘National Panchayati Raj Day’ is celebrated every year on April 24. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj in collaboration with the state Government of Madhya Pradesh is commemorating National Panchayati Raj Day in Madhya Pradesh as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Samaaveshi Vikaas (Inclusive Development).
The Prime Minister was the Chief Guest at the national function.

The National Technology Centre for Ports Waterways and Coasts (NTCPWC) was inaugurated at the Discovery Campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, by Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The new research facility will serve as a knowledge centre for students, the industry and academicians.

Russian lender Sberbank released technology called GigaChat as a rival to ChatGPT. GigaChat is an AI chatbot that was launched recently by Russian lender Sberbank.
It is capable of communicating intelligently in Russian than other foreign neural networks.
