Government Approves ₹605.71 Crore for Rajasthan, Telangana
On 13 August 2026, the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare approved ₹605.71 crore for Rajasthan and Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Krishonnati Yojana (KY). The allocation was finalised in a virtual meeting held from Bhopal with the Union Agriculture Secretary and the agriculture ministers of Rajasthan and Telangana.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana
PM-RKVY is a centrally sponsored scheme for promoting agricultural development through state-level action plans. The scheme supports projects related to crop production, post-harvest management, value addition, and farm infrastructure.
Krishonnati Yojana
Krishonnati Yojana is an umbrella programme for agricultural development that includes multiple sub-schemes. It covers areas such as crop husbandry, horticulture, soil health, extension, and agricultural marketing.
State-wise allocation and utilisation
Rajasthan received ₹340.59 crore, including ₹216.12 crore under PM-RKVY and ₹124.47 crore under KY. Telangana received ₹265.12 crore, including ₹157.66 crore under PM-RKVY and ₹107.46 crore under KY.
Rajasthan had utilised ₹164.39 crore, or 76.06%, of its first Mother Sanction of ₹216.13 crore released on 4 May 2026 under an annual action plan of ₹849.37 crore for 2026–27. Telangana had spent ₹96.05 crore, or 60.93%, of its first Mother Sanction of ₹157.65 crore released on 12 May 2026 under an annual action plan of ₹651.06 crore for 2026–27.
