BrahMos Exports to Cross $600 Million

India’s BrahMos supersonic cruise missile exports are projected to exceed 600 million, with contracts and agreements linked to the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia. The Philippines has already received BrahMos systems worth about 330 million, while initial exports to Vietnam and Indonesia are estimated at about 100 million and 200 million respectively.

BrahMos Missile System

BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile developed as a joint venture between India and Russia. It is used in land-based, sea-based and air-launched configurations, and the air-launched version has been integrated with Sukhoi fighter jets.

Export Contracts and Foreign Customers

The Philippines became the first foreign customer for BrahMos in January 2022. It signed a contract for a Shore-Based Anti-Ship Missile System covering three batteries, which marked the first overseas sale of the missile system.

India’s Defence Export Profile

India’s overall defence exports reached a record ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025-26. This was a 62.66% increase from ₹23,622 crore in the previous fiscal year.
