Spain’s Suber Group to Invest $2 Billion in Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Sector

Spain’s Submer Group announced a $2 billion investment in Madhya Pradesh’s semiconductor sector on 13 July 2026. The project includes a semiconductor facility and a 1-gigabyte data centre facility in the state, with nearly 5,000 direct jobs projected.

Submer Group and Industrial Profile

Submer Group is a Spain-based company known for cooling technology used in data centres. The company plans to use the Madhya Pradesh facility as a production base for exporting cooling technology across Asia.

Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor and Tech Push

The announcement took place at the MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 in Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh has pursued industrial diversification beyond agriculture and mining, with technology and manufacturing projects forming part of its investment strategy.

Land Allotment and Project Location

The state government allotted 15 acres of land in the Acharpura industrial area for the data centre project within six days of the request. The fast-track allotment was linked to the proposed technology infrastructure in the industrial zone.
