Rapidise to invest ₹200 crore to expand Manesar electronics plant
Rapidise announced on 29 September 2026 an expansion of its electronics manufacturing operations in Manesar, Haryana. The company plans to invest about ₹200 crore under a three-year investment plan, and the project is expected to increase its overall production capacity in Manesar by four times.
Rapidise Manufacturing Facilities in Manesar
Rapidise operates an existing 40,000 sq ft plant in Sector 3, Manesar, and the expansion adds a new 120,000 sq ft facility in Sector 8, Manesar. The new unit is designed to support complex electronics programmes through Surface Mount Technology, automated manufacturing systems, and digital production capabilities.
Surface Mount Technology and PCB Assembly
Surface Mount Technology, or SMT, is a method of mounting electronic components directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards. The expanded facility is intended to manufacture complex PCB assemblies, including server boards and artificial intelligence boards, with real-time production traceability.
Production Capacity and Employment
Rapidise has installed a new dual-lane SMT line, taking its total component placement capacity to about 800,000 components per hour. The expansion is expected to generate around 1,000 direct and indirect jobs during fiscal year 2027.
