The Indian Army will host the first-ever International Military Adventure Challenge Cup (IMACC) 2026 from 18–23 February in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. India’s Renu Singh topped the women’s 21-km event at the second Aizawl International Half Marathon on February 14, 2026. She secured the top position with a time of 1:21:22, followed by Ethiopia’s Tsige Debay Tadese and Bahrain’s Marta Hirpato Yota. The race was held at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl, Mizoram. Kenya’s Kemboi Kevin Kiprono won the men’s 21 kilometre race at the Aizawl International Half Marathon 2026. Around 3,000 runners participated, including 16 elite international athletes. Participants came from Kenya, Ethiopia, Bahrain, United Kingdom and France along with runners from across India.

Norway skier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo won his ninth gold medal in cross country skiing at Milan Cortina Winter Olympics 2026. He set a new Winter Games record with this achievement. The 29 year old secured his fourth gold medal of the 2026 Games. He anchored Norway team in the men 4 into 7.5 kilometre relay event. Earlier he was sharing the record with three retired Norwegian athletes. With this win, he became the most successful cross country skier in Winter Olympics history.

In tennis, Stefanos Sakellaridis won the Delhi Open 2026 men’s singles title. He defeated Oliver Crawford in the final with a 7-5, 5-6, 7-6 score. The 21-year-old secured his maiden Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour singles title. He won the deciding tie-break 8-6 on his second match point. In doubles, Siddhant Banthia and Alexander Donski won the title. They defeated Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha and Pruchya Isaro in the final.

Kipa Mero won the Gold Medal in Women’s Javelin Throw F12 Category at the 24th National Para Athletics Championships 2026 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She broke her own National Record, demonstrating dedication, resilience, and sporting excellence. Techi Meta won the Silver Medal in the Women’s 400 metre T13 Category at the same championships.

The inaugural National Indoor Athletics Championships 2026 has started at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, marking a new phase for athletics in India. The two-day event has 278 participants, including 97 women, in senior and under-20 categories. The aim is to strengthen India’s indoor athletics calendar and provide early-season competition.

Blanka Vlašić has been appointed International Event Ambassador for the World 10K Bengaluru 2026, scheduled on April 26. The event is a World Athletics Gold Label Race, attracting elite runners and mass participation. Blanka Vlašić is a double Olympic medallist (silver at Beijing 2008 Olympics and bronze at Rio 2016 Olympics) and a two-time World Champion in high jump. She holds a personal best of 2.08 m (2009), which is the Croatian national record and among the highest jumps in women’s history.
