Services won the 79th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy. The final was played at Dhakuakhana Stadium in Assam. Services defeated Kerala by 1–0 in a closely fought match. The winning goal was scored in the 109th minute of extra time. Striker Abhishek Pawar scored from a cross delivered by Shubham Rana. This victory marked Services’ eighth Santosh Trophy title. Services had also defeated Kerala in the 2023–24 season final.

Jammu and Kashmir cricket team won its maiden Ranji Trophy title by defeating Karnataka cricket team at KSCA Rajnagar Stadium. J&K scored 584 in the first innings, while Karnataka managed 293. With this win, J&K joined teams like Vidarbha, Saurashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh in recent title winners, showing wider growth of Indian domestic cricket.

The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) 2026 will be held from March 25 to April 6 across Raipur, Jagdalpur, and Sarguja in Chhattisgarh. The Games will feature seven medal sports: athletics, football, hockey, weightlifting, archery, swimming, and wrestling; mallakhamb and kabaddi will be demonstration sports.
