Despite accumulating 2500 ELO rating points and two GM norms in 2012, he waited 12 years for the third GM norm, achieved in Dubai.

The Senior Nationals Sailing Championship 2024 is organized at Mumbai Port by the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre and Indian Navy Sailing Association, from May 12 to 18. 82 participants from 10 clubs compete in various classes including ILCA 7, 470, and Formula Kite. Races, overseen by World Sailing officials and an International Jury, aim to establish national rankings. Mumbai harbor provides ideal conditions. Medal race scheduled for May 18.
