FICCI FRAMES 2026 Begins in Mumbai

FICCI FRAMES 2026, the 26th edition of Asia’s media and entertainment convention, is being held on 29-30 September 2026 at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The convention carries the theme “India’s Media Moment: Creating Value in an Age of Infinite Content” and covers television, streaming, films, sports, gaming, live events, the creator economy, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

FICCI FRAMES and the Media and Entertainment Sector

FICCI FRAMES is an annual convention organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry for the media and entertainment sector. The event brings together industry leaders, creators, broadcasters, producers, and technology stakeholders for discussions on policy, business models, and content markets.

Inaugural Session and Key Participants

Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat addressed the convention on 29 September 2026. FICCI President Anant Goenka, Kevin Vaz, Chair of the FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee and CEO, Entertainment, JioStar, and FICCI FRAMES Ambassador Ayushmann Khurrana also participated in the inaugural session.

Uday Shankar, Vice Chairman of JioStar and former President of FICCI, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 26th edition of FICCI FRAMES on 29 September 2026. The award recognises his contribution to India’s media and entertainment industry.

Industry Themes and Associated Platforms

The convention agenda includes sessions on the creator economy, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. The FICCI BAF Awards are scheduled during the event and cover animation, VFX, gaming, comics, XR, and AI.

Frame Your Idea, also called FYI, is being held under FICCI FRAMES 2026 as a writer-to-producer pitching platform. The platform is scheduled to facilitate more than 3,200 meetings between writers and producers.
