Puja Special Tram has been created to commemorate the UNESCO Heritage designation for Durga Puja and to mark the 150th anniversary of Kolkata tramways.
It travels along the Tollygunge-Ballygunge route, from Durga Puja to the new year. Kolkata’s iconic trams have been plying through the city since 1873.

Recently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed a statue of the medieval-era Ahom army commander, Lachit Borphukan.
He also unveiled Swahid Smarak and Udyan, which is being developed in memory of the martyrs of Assam Agitation located within the Narengi Military Station in Guwahati. Both of these structures were financed by the Government of Assam.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the ‘Rozgar Prayag Portal’ during the Uttarakhand Youth Mahotsav-2023 event held at Dehradun.
The government has created this portal with the goal of offering employment opportunities within the state to the youth, all accessible through a single platform.

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in India has introduced the “Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas” (SHRESHTA) as a step to encourage education and improve the socio-economic status of Scheduled Castes (SCs).
SHRESHTA’s main goal is to extend the coverage of government development programs and rectify service gaps in areas predominantly inhabited by SCs within the education sector.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20) at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
The summit was hosted by the Parliament of India under the framework of India’s G20 Presidency with the theme of ‘Parliaments for One Earth, One Family, One Future’.
