The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway in association with the state’s transport department dispatched the first goods trains carrying food grains and essential commodities to Khongsang railway station at Manipur from Guwahati.
Khongsang is the latest station which was commissioned in 2022 in the Jiribam-Imphal new line project. The first direct passenger train service namely ‘Jan Shatabdi Express’ was earlier inaugurated between Tripura’s Agartala and Khongsang .

Twitter has officially rebranded to “X” after owner Elon Musk changed its iconic bird logo. This is the latest sweeping change since Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion last year.
The social media company also recently announced it was limiting the number of daily direct messages unverified users can send.

In Bangladesh, the appellate division of the Supreme Court ordered Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus to pay 12 crore Taka (USD 1.1 million) tax.
Dr. Yunus has donated money to three of his own trusts namely: Dr. Mohammad Yunus Trust, Yunus Family Trust, And Yunus Centre Trust. Income Tax Authorities in Bangladesh imposed a tax on Money donated to these three trusts.

UAE Minister for Foreign Trade Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi has been elected as the chair of the World Trade Organisation’s 13th Ministerial Conference that will be held in Abu Dhabi in February 2024.
The conference will be attended by representatives from the 164 countries and customs blocs that make up the WTO. It will review the performance of the trading system, make decisions on future work and set up the road map for the next conference.

India’s Karman Kaur Thandi has clinched her second W60 ITF title of her career after winning at the Evansville event in the USA.
With this win, Karman becomes the only Indian woman after Sania Mirza to win a pro title in the USA. She earlier had won her maiden W60 ITF title in Saguenay last year.
