Tata Group’s digital arm Tata Digital Ltd would acquire Big Basket for a value of Rs.9,500 crore, which is 64.3% of the total share capital of Big Basket.

The Government of the United Kingdom (UK) has proposed to permit operations of self-driving cars by end of the year 2021. The automated lane-keeping systems (ALKS) to be operationalised in the UK would be first in the world to be legalised.
The ALKS technology controls the position of driver less cars in a single lane and limits its speed to 60 kmph.

The institution has transferred the technology to manufacture oxygen enrichment units to several private institutes. The CSIR-CMERI developed oxygen unit technology can help patients to recover faster.

The Network for Greening the Financial system (NGFS) was launched at the Paris One Planet Summit on December 2017.
It is a group of Central banks and supervisors willing to share the best practices and contribute to the development of the environment and climate risk management in the financial sector. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently joined the NGFS Group as a Member.

The Indian Ocean humpback dolphin is a member of the Ocean Dolphin family, which occupy coastal areas ranging from Southern Africa to Western Indochina.
The dolphins are included in the international Union for Conservation of Nature’s list of ‘endangered species. Recently, two Indian Ocean humpback dolphins, were found dead in two separate spots at Mumbai.

The Global Forest Goals Report 2021 was prepared by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations.
The report provides an overview of progress towards achieving the six Global Forest Goals and their 26 associated targets as mentioned in the United Nations Strategic Plan for Forests 2030. The first Global Forest Goal provides for increasing forest area by three per cent by 2030.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has recently announced that 20% of the salary of top executives must be paid in the form of units of mutual fund schemes they oversee.
This decision has been taken to align the interests of the key employees of the asset management companies (AMCs) with the unitholders of the schemes.

The Government of India has announced the establishment 2+2 dialogue at the foreign and defence minister level between India and Russia.
As of now, India has a mechanism of 2+2 partnership only with the USA, Australia and Japan. Russia will now become the first non-Quad country to have this mechanism with India.

Special 301 Report, released by the U.S, focusses on the effectiveness of the protection of US trading partners and enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPR).
The US Trade Representative in its recent report placed India and eight other countries including China, Russia, Saudi Arabia on the Priority Watch List for IP protection and enforcement.
