China Southern Airlines Resumes Guangzhou-Delhi Flights

China Southern Airlines will resume regular passenger flights between Guangzhou and New Delhi from 21 September 2026. The service marks the return of China Southern’s India operations after a six-year suspension and adds one daily round-trip flight on the Guangzhou-New Delhi sector.

Guangzhou-New Delhi Air Route

China Southern Airlines will operate flight CZ359 from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 3:35 PM local time, with arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 7:00 PM. The return flight CZ360 will depart New Delhi at 8:20 PM and reach Guangzhou at 4:15 AM the next day. The route will use Boeing 737 series aircraft.

Direct air services between India and China were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic and remained affected by geopolitical tensions. The resumption of the Guangzhou-Delhi route forms part of the gradual restoration of direct connectivity between the two countries. China Southern Airlines will operate more than 100 weekly flights across eight round-trip routes in South Asia. Other carriers that have resumed or expanded India-China services include Air China, China Eastern Airlines and IndiGo.
