Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Crosses 93.95 Crore Health Accounts

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is India’s national digital health initiative for creating interoperable health records and unique health identifiers. As of 10 July 2026, the mission has created more than 93.95 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers and linked over 105 crore digital health records.

Ayushman Bharat Health Account

The Ayushman Bharat Health Account, or ABHA, is a unique digital health ID used to store and share health records through consent-based systems. The ABHA number is part of the National Digital Health Ecosystem and is designed to support patient-centric record management across healthcare providers.

National Digital Health Ecosystem

The National Digital Health Ecosystem includes digital registries, health information systems, and software platforms for healthcare delivery. By 10 July 2026, ABDM had registered 5.33 lakh health facilities and 9.85 lakh healthcare professionals on its national digital health registries.

Mission Steering Group and adoption features

Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda chaired the 3rd Mission Steering Group meeting of ABDM on 10 July 2026. Around 2.72 lakh healthcare facilities had adopted ABDM-enabled software, and nearly 24 crore Scan & Register tokens had been generated for faster outpatient department registration and consent-based sharing of health records.
