UP budget: 500cr waiver farm loans

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav presented state Budget for 2012-13.

Some key highlights of the UP Budget:-

• Budget does not incorporate any new tax
• Provision of Rs500 crore for waving farm loans
• Unemployment allowance and laptops to school students
• For the first time the state’s Budget crossed the figure of Rs 2 lakh crore
• Projects a deficit of over Rs 21,570 crore
• The size of the budget is Rs 2 lakh 110 crore
