Railway Board Approves Seven New Amrit Bharat Express Trains

The Railway Board approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains in August 2026 for long-distance interstate rail connectivity in India. The sanctioned services include weekly trains on routes linking Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, and other states.

Amrit Bharat Express

Amrit Bharat Express is a category of Indian Railways trains used for long-distance passenger movement on inter-state routes. The service pattern in the approved routes includes weekly operations and numbered train pairs such as 15095/15096, 22363/22364, and 20436/20435.

Approved Routes and Train Numbers

The Gorakhpur–Delhi Special train was regularised as the weekly Gorakhpur–Delhi Amrit Bharat Express on 10 August 2026. The Gorakhpur–Bandra Terminus service was approved on 13 August 2026 with major halts including Kota, Ratlam, and Vadodara.

The Dhanbad–Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express was sanctioned for a route connecting Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu via Nagpur, Vijayawada, and Salem. The Charlapalli–Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express was approved for a Telangana–Uttar Pradesh link via Bhopal, Jhansi, and Lucknow.

The Prayagraj–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus service was approved via Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusaval, and Kalyan. The Prayagraj–Udhna service was approved via Fatehpur, Etawah, Agra, Kota, and Ratlam, while the Subedarganj–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus service was sanctioned via Banda, Satna, Jabalpur, and Nashik Road.

Railway Stations and Regional Connectivity

Mancherial and Peddapalli railway stations in Telangana secured stoppages on the Charlapalli–Gorakhpur and Dhanbad–Coimbatore services. These stoppages were announced by Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on 13 August 2026.
