The upgrades include 6 weather radars, 33 observatories, and 142 AWS (Automatic Weather Stations). World Summit on Disaster Management 2025 serves as a global platform on disaster resilience for scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and industry leaders. The theme is “Strengthening International Cooperation for Building Resilient Communities.” The summit aims to boost global disaster collaboration, share scientific knowledge, strengthen early-warning infrastructure, and support resilient development, especially in the Himalayan ecosystem.

Telangana hosted the Rising Global Summit 2025 in Hyderabad on 8 December. The two-day summit features 27 sessions on energy, Information Technology (IT), healthcare, and startups. Major organisations like World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) are involved. Bridge Summit 2025 was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The summit attracted more than 60,000 participants from 132 countries, making it the world’s largest debut media event. The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) organized the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 to boost trade and investment in the North Eastern Region. The summit focused on attracting investments in sectors such as tourism and hospitality, agro-food processing and allied areas, textiles, handloom and handicrafts, healthcare, education and skill development, entertainment and sports, infrastructure and logistics, and energy.
