The one-day event brought together more than 380 media professionals and officials from across the country under the theme, “Connecting Stakeholders, Strengthening Democracy: Role of Media in Elections”. It was established in 2005, with the first summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 2026 NATO Summit was held in Ankara, Turkey, where member countries discussed collective security, defence spending, Ukraine, and strengthening Europe’s defence industry. NATO members reaffirmed their commitment to collective defence under Article 5 of the Washington Treaty, stating that an attack on one member is considered an attack on all.
