The Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD-2) is held in Doha, Qatar, from November 4 to 6, 2025. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya is leading the Indian delegation to the summit. He will deliver India’s National Statement at the Opening Plenary and join leaders in adopting the Doha Political Declaration. India will join other nations in adopting the Doha Political Declaration and take part in a High-Level Round Table on poverty eradication, decent work, and social inclusion. The first International and 31st Annual Conference of Sahodaya School Complexes was held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. It is the first time CBSE’s premier annual event was hosted outside India. The conference theme was “Rooted in Wisdom, Rising with Vision: Reimagining Education through NEP 2020.” More than 1,000 educators, school leaders, and stakeholders from CBSE-affiliated institutions worldwide participated. It aimed to foster collaboration, share innovative practices, and reimagine holistic education under NEP 2020.

The World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai and the All-India Association of Industries (AIAI) will host the 10th Global Economic Summit (GES) and 6th World Trade Expo on 21–22 November in Mumbai. The event is supported by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of Maharashtra and Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The theme is “Accelerating Global Trade” with discussions, exhibitions and B2B meetings to boost partnerships and resilient value chains.

The Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ISAM) is hosting its 64th annual conference at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IAM), Bengaluru, on November 20-21. The conference theme is “Innovations in Aerospace Medicine: Infinite Possibilities,” emphasizing safety and performance of aviators. ISAM, established in 1952, is India’s only registered society dedicated to aerospace medicine for military, civil aviation, and spaceflight programs.

NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) and IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India) recently organized the first Earth Summit 2025-26 in Hyderabad on 20–21 November with the theme Empowering Rural Innovation for Global Change. The second edition is scheduled for Gandhinagar on 5–6 December 2025, and the third for New Delhi in February 2026. The summit served as a global platform to drive policy outcomes, investments, and collaborations for rural transformation.

Turkiye will host the COP31 (Conference of the Parties 31) UN climate summit in Antalya next year, after an agreement with Australia ended a long dispute over the venue. Australia will now lead pre-COP negotiations with Pacific nations for the 2026 UN climate meeting, while Turkiye will assume the presidency of COP31. The announcement comes as COP30 in Belem, Brazil is closing, with Australia earlier pushing to host COP31 as a Pacific COP for climate-vulnerable island nations. Turkiye insisted on hosting COP31 to represent emerging economies and encourage solidarity between rich and poor countries on climate action.

In November 2025, the Union Minister of Jal Shakti inaugurated the Vision for Sujalam Bharat Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The summit follows the vision of the Prime Minister to promote cooperative federalism and evidence-based policymaking. It is part of NITI Aayog’s (National Institution for Transforming India) six national thematic summits. The water sector theme covers rivers, drinking water, sanitation, groundwater, irrigation, and rural–urban water management. Six national workshops were held on rivers, greywater reuse, water technology, recharge, drinking water, and behaviour change.

The 46th Annual Conference of the Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP) was inaugurated at the Anthropological Survey of India (AnSI), Kolkata. The conference was organised jointly by IASP, National Atlas & Thematic Mapping Organisation (NATMO), and AnSI. The conference theme was “People, Planet, Prosperity: Demographic Drivers of India’s Inclusive Growth.” United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India felicitated the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) for receiving the 2025 United Nations Population Award (Institutional Category).

Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR–CMFRI), Kochi will host the 7th India International Seaweed Expo and Summit 2026 on 29–30 January 2026. It is jointly organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, CMFRI, and CSIR–Central Salt Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI). It is one of the largest global seaweed industry gatherings. Participants from Brazil, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Sweden, and many other countries will attend. It will promote international partnerships, technology transfer, and global market linkages.

The Regional Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Conference 2025 was held at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, ahead of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The conference focuses on people, planet, and progress, the three pillars of the AI Impact Summit. The government has allocated Rs 10,300 crore for AI development and set up 570 data and AI labs nationwide. The target is to train 10 lakh people in AI skills to enhance future employability.
