The GRIHA Council inaugurated the 17th GRIHA Summit in New Delhi. GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is India’s own green building rating system. India will host the Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit in February 2026 to promote inclusive, ethical, and human-centric AI. The upcoming AI Governance Framework will focus on combining innovation with safety to guide responsible AI use. Under the India AI Mission, over ₹10,000 crore is being invested to make AI beneficial for all sections of society. The initiative highlights India’s role in shaping global AI ethics and ensuring science and technology remain inclusive. It also supports innovation in biofortified crops, bio-fertilisers, genomic research, and clean energy solutions for a developed India.

The ‘Co-Op Kumbh 2025’ international conference on the urban cooperative credit sector was held in New Delhi to mark the International Year of Cooperatives. The event launched the ‘Delhi Declaration 2025’ as a roadmap for expanding urban cooperative banks. Sahkar Digi-Pay and Sahkar Digi-Loan apps were introduced to promote digital services among small cooperative banks. A plan was announced to set up one urban cooperative bank in every city with over 2 lakh population within five years.

In November 2025, it was announced that the 2nd World Health Organization (WHO) Traditional Medicine Global Summit will be held from 17th to 19th next month at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit is co-hosted by WHO and the Ministry of AYUSH. Its theme is “Restoring Balance: The Science and Practice of Health and Well-being.” It aims to promote evidence, dialogue, and action for integrating Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine. The summit focuses on linking science, innovation, indigenous wisdom, and digital health.

Ethiopia is set to be officially confirmed as the host of COP32 in 2027, becoming the first East African nation to organize a UN Climate Change Conference. The announcement was made by COP30 President André Corrêa do Lago during the opening of COP30 in Belem, Brazil. It is a federal republic and among the oldest independent nations with a strong legacy in African unity. The country is located in the Horn of Africa with its capital in Addis Ababa, which also hosts the African Union and UN Economic Commission for Africa.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) hosted the 3rd International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) on November 11–12, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The two-day event brought together policymakers, scientists, researchers, and industry leaders to shape India’s green hydrogen roadmap. It was organised with support from the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), Department of Science and Technology (DST), and Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).

Recently, it was announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on 19 November. He will address the South India Natural Farming Summit, which will be hosted by the Farmers’ Associations in Tamil Nadu. The summit will also bring together 50 scientists specialising in organic agriculture. It aims to frame policies to expand natural farming across southern states. The summit seeks to build a people-driven movement for economically viable and socially inclusive agriculture. It will feature 300 exhibition stalls, live demonstrations, policy discussions and youth–women engagement. It is supported by national initiatives like Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati and Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana.

India’s Environment Minister recently announced that India will host a Global Big Cats Summit 2026 in New Delhi, calling for stronger global cooperation. The announcement was made at the COP30 high-level ministerial segment on the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA). India is home to major big cats like the Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Lion, Indian Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Clouded Leopard. India has doubled its tiger population ahead of schedule and increased its Asiatic lion numbers. India built comprehensive wildlife databases and strengthened protected areas and corridors with community participation.

NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) and IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India) recently organized the first Earth Summit 2025-26 in Hyderabad on 20–21 November with the theme Empowering Rural Innovation for Global Change. The second edition is scheduled for Gandhinagar on 5–6 December 2025, and the third for New Delhi in February 2026. The summit served as a global platform to drive policy outcomes, investments, and collaborations for rural transformation.
