The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs organized the 3rd National Conference on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) on 30th October 2025 at Parliament House, New Delhi. NeVA is one of the 44 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the Digital India Programme. It aims to make all State Legislatures paperless and integrated under the vision of “One Nation, One Application.” The conference reviewed NeVA’s progress, shared best practices, and discussed solutions for faster implementation. The initiative supports Digital India and promotes Good Governance through fully digital legislative systems.

The International Salinity Conference (WE-CARE 2025) is jointly hosted by ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), Karnal, and ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa. The event is scheduled from 29th October to 1st November 2025. The conference focuses on addressing global challenges of soil and water salinity affecting agriculture and ecosystems. It aims to promote sustainable farming practices, share research innovations, and develop policy recommendations for restoring saline-affected lands.

The Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD-2) is held in Doha, Qatar, from November 4 to 6, 2025. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya is leading the Indian delegation to the summit. He will deliver India’s National Statement at the Opening Plenary and join leaders in adopting the Doha Political Declaration. India will join other nations in adopting the Doha Political Declaration and take part in a High-Level Round Table on poverty eradication, decent work, and social inclusion. India will showcase its digital and inclusive growth model, highlighting that 248 million people were lifted out of multidimensional poverty between 2011 and 2023.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will host the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) on 11–12 November at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event supports India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). It will feature participation from senior Union Ministers and global delegates. ICGH 2025 will focus on green hydrogen development, infrastructure, demand creation, and global collaboration.

The first International and 31st Annual Conference of Sahodaya School Complexes was held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. It is the first time CBSE’s premier annual event was hosted outside India. The conference theme was “Rooted in Wisdom, Rising with Vision: Reimagining Education through NEP 2020.” More than 1,000 educators, school leaders, and stakeholders from CBSE-affiliated institutions worldwide participated. It aimed to foster collaboration, share innovative practices, and reimagine holistic education under NEP 2020.

Recently, Kochi hosted the first BIMSTEC-India Marine Research Network (BIMReN) Conference to promote blue economy cooperation. The conference is a biennial regional platform that connects researchers across the Bay of Bengal region for sustainable blue economy development. It was announced by the Prime Minister of India during the Colombo BIMSTEC Summit in 2022. It supports India’s Neighbourhood First, Act East, Indo-Pacific, and MAHASAGAR policies. The event focused on marine ecosystem health, research innovations, and collaborative policy development for sustainable ocean management.

Ethiopia is set to be officially confirmed as the host of COP32 in 2027, becoming the first East African nation to organize a UN Climate Change Conference. The announcement was made by COP30 President André Corrêa do Lago during the opening of COP30 in Belem, Brazil. It is a federal republic and among the oldest independent nations with a strong legacy in African unity. The country is located in the Horn of Africa with its capital in Addis Ababa, which also hosts the African Union and UN Economic Commission for Africa.

Odisha will host the Global Energy Leaders’ Summit (GELS) 2025 in Puri from December 5 to 7, 2025. The summit supports Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s vision of sustainability, cooperative federalism, and Net Zero 2070. Energy ministers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Bhutan will join global experts and think-tanks. The event is organised with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) and Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K). The theme is “Powering India: Sufficiency, Balance, Innovation.”

The Regional Open Digital Health Summit was recently held in New Delhi to advance interoperable and standards-based digital health systems across the Global South. It aims to build strong digital public infrastructure for transforming health systems in the South-East Asia Region. The summit is organised by the National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, with National Health Authority (NHA), WHO-SEARO (World Health Organization – South-East Asia Regional Office), and UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund). It focuses on accelerating adoption of open and interoperable digital health ecosystems in the region.

Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated EARTH Summit 2025 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. He launched 13+ new services under ‘Sahakar Sarathi’, including Digi KCC, Campaign Sarathi, Website Sarathi, Cooperative Governance Index, ePACS, World’s Largest Grain Storage Application, Shiksha Sarathi, Sarathi Technology Forum. Summit is the second of three EARTH Summits focusing on strengthening rural economy and framing result-oriented solutions for rural development, with final policy framework in Delhi next year. The first edition of the Earth Summit 2025 was held in Hyderabad.
