President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the National Conference for Chairpersons of Public Service Commissions in Hyderabad, Telangana on 19 December 2025. Public Service Commissions must uphold ideals of equality, justice and welfare as guided by Preamble, Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles. Commissions should ensure equality of opportunity and aim for equality of outcomes. They act as change agents promoting equity and support permanent executive continuity. Civil servants must be sensitive to women, marginalised and vulnerable groups; gender sensitisation required. Strong, effective governance is needed as India targets becoming third-largest economy and achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The 11th Conference of the State Parties (COSP-11) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) was held in Doha, Qatar. It took place from 15 to 19 December 2025 and was the world’s largest anti-corruption conference. The five-day event was hosted by the State of Qatar with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The key outcome was the adoption of the Doha Declaration 2025. The declaration focuses on strengthening international cooperation and technical assistance against corruption. It encourages the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to prevent and fight corruption.

The Ministry of Textiles, in collaboration with the Government of Assam, will organize the National Textiles Ministers’ Conference on 8–9 January 2026 in Guwahati, Assam. The theme is “India’s Textiles: Weaving Growth, Heritage & Innovation.” The conference will bring together Union and State Ministers of Textiles, senior government officials, and policymakers to discuss a coordinated national strategy. The India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM 2026) unveiled its official logo ahead of the three-day conference at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from January 21, 2026. The conference is organised by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) under the Election Commission of India (ECI). The theme of the conference is “Democracy for an inclusive, peaceful, resilient and sustainable world.” The logo features stylised human forms resembling protective hands, symbolising citizens as the foundation of democracy and the responsibility to safeguard democratic values.

The two-day Regional Level Conference of Labour & Employment and Industry Secretaries of States/UTs was held in Jaipur on 14 January 2026. The conference is the second of five regional meetings organized to facilitate the implementation of the four Labour Codes and address issues related to Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), and Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).
