Recently, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare held the two-day ‘National Agriculture Conference – Rabi campaign 2025’ at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium, Pusa Campus, New Delhi on September 15–16, 2025. The conference provided a platform for agriculture experts, scientists, policymakers, and senior state representatives to plan strategies and set production targets for the 2025–26 Rabi sowing season. The conference was chaired by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The 10th All India Conference of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) was inaugurated in New Delhi. Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) was established to provide efficient and accessible justice for government employees and reduce backlog in high courts. Tribunals have worked for four decades to improve efficiency and access to justice for officials. The conference highlighted the need for consistency in rulings and transparency in functioning to ensure well-reasoned decisions. The conference focuses on enhancing efficiency, improving disposal rates, and ensuring timely justice.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda unveiled the logo and brochure of the Global Food Regulators Summit (GFRS) 2025 at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. GFRS 2025 is held from 26-27 September at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, organized by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, alongside World Food India 2025 by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI). The theme is “Evolving Food Systems – Yatha Annam Tatha Manah,” emphasizing the link between food quality, health, and society. The Summit provides a platform for global regulators to harmonize standards, strengthen risk assessment, and explore food safety technology.

The 12th Sustainable Mountain Development Summit (SMDS-XII) was held at Doon University, Dehradun on 26 September. Sustainable Mountain Development Summit is a flagship annual summit addressing ecological, economic, and social challenges of the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). It is organised by the Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), a civil society-led network. The aim is to promote sustainable Himalayan development, strengthen community participation, and blend science with traditional wisdom.

Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh addressed the 2nd Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation. The conference was held at Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Rome, Italy. He highlighted India’s farmer-centric initiatives, innovations, and transformations driving inclusive growth in the livestock and dairy sector. India serves as the First Vice Chair of the FAO Sub-Committee on Livestock. The livestock sector supports nearly two-thirds of rural households and millions of small farmers, many being women. India is the world’s largest milk producer, second-largest egg producer, and a leading buffalo meat exporter.

An Indian Parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla attended the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) from 05-12 October 2025 in Bridgetown, Barbados. The delegation included Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha Shri Harivansh, MPs Shri Anurag Sharma, Dr. D. Purandeswari, Dr. K. Sudhakar, Smt. Rekha Sharma, Dr. Ajeet Madhavrao Gopchade, and Secretaries General of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Lok Sabha Speaker addressed the General Assembly on “The Commonwealth – A Global Partner”.

The Sharm el-Sheikh Gaza peace summit was recently held in Egypt’s Red Sea city. India was represented by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. The summit was jointly chaired by US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Leaders from over 20 countries attended, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, UK PM Keir Starmer, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, Spain’s Pedro Sánchez, and France’s Emmanuel Macron. Hamas did not participate; Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s presence was uncertain. The meeting followed a US-mediated hostage swap and truce between Israel and Hamas. India’s participation highlighted its diplomatic role in West Asia without overcommitting.

The Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025 was inaugurated on October 17, 2025, at Hotel Ramada, Dehradun, organized by the Government of Uttarakhand with the India AI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). It serves as a pre-summit to the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event was graced by Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for MeitY and Commerce & Industry. The summit aims to promote responsible AI-driven growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship, supporting Digital Uttarakhand and India’s vision of “AI for All.”

Bharat International Rice Conference 2025 is scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from 30th October 2025. The two-day event will host Foreign Ministers of the Philippines, Ghana, Namibia, and Gambia. India is one of the world’s largest rice producers and exporters, supplying to over 172 countries. The conference aims to enable stakeholders to strengthen their presence in global food supply chains. It will bring together producers, exporters, importers, policymakers, logisticians, research institutions, and allied service providers.
