SCO is a permanent intergovernmental regional organisation focusing on political, economic, and security cooperation in Eurasia. Recently, India announced it will host the third Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit on 19–20 February 2026. The event will be organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) with focus on inclusive development, sustainability, and equitable growth. The summit’s logo, unveiled on 18 September, features the Ashoka Chakra with neural network patterns, symbolising AI’s impact across sectors. The summit continues the series of global AI meets after the 2025 AI Action Summit in France, 2024 in South Korea, and 2023 AI Safety Summit in the UK.

The second African Climate Summit (ACS2), held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from September 8-10, 2025, focused on accelerating climate action and mobilizing finance for Africa’s green and resilient development. Key outcomes include the adoption of the Addis Ababa Declaration, which calls for major investments in renewable energy and critical minerals, and the launch of the Africa Climate Innovation Compact and African Climate Facility to support African-led climate solutions. GFRS 2025 is held from 26-27 September at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, organized by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, alongside World Food India 2025 by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI). The theme is “Evolving Food Systems – Yatha Annam Tatha Manah,” emphasizing the link between food quality, health, and society. The Summit provides a platform for global regulators to harmonize standards, strengthen risk assessment, and explore food safety technology.

Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh addressed the 2nd Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation. The conference was held at Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Rome, Italy. He highlighted India’s farmer-centric initiatives, innovations, and transformations driving inclusive growth in the livestock and dairy sector. India serves as the First Vice Chair of the FAO Sub-Committee on Livestock. The livestock sector supports nearly two-thirds of rural households and millions of small farmers, many being women. India is the world’s largest milk producer, second-largest egg producer, and a leading buffalo meat exporter.

Recently, Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Extradition of Fugitives—Challenges and Strategies conference. The conference was held in New Delhi. He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, crime, and terrorism. A robust mechanism is being developed to bring all offenders under the law. The Fugitive Economic Offenders Act (FEOA) 2018 allows authorities to confiscate assets of fugitives; over US 2 billion recovered in four years. Strengthened money laundering laws led to attachment of assets worth US 12 billion between 2014–2023. States are advised to collaborate with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to repatriate fugitives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually attend the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-India Summit. The summit is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 26 to 28, 2025. The country will become the diplomatic capital of Southeast Asia during the event. More than 30 heads of state and government will attend, including leaders from ASEAN nations and dialogue partners like the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Discussions will focus on regional peace, economic resilience, and inclusive growth. The summit theme is ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’ under Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs organized the 3rd National Conference on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) on 30th October 2025 at Parliament House, New Delhi. NeVA is one of the 44 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the Digital India Programme.
