Notes:
The Kali River which is also known as Kaali Nadi is a river that flows through the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. This river supports the livelihoods of tens of thousands of people including the fishermen situated on the coast of Karwar. Many dams are built across this river for the purpose of electricity generation. The Supa Dam at Ganeshgudi is one such important dam which is built across the Kali River. This river runs for 184 kilometres before joining Arabian Sea.

Notes:
BMEC doesn’t pass through Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
BMEC is a proposed economic corridor between Mumbai and Bengaluru. The corridor is delineated around the existing NH-48 which connects Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The corridor is spread across the States of Karnataka and Maharashtra and passes through major cities such as Davangere, Chitradurga, Hubballi – Dharwad, Belagavi, Solapur, Sangli, Satara and Pune. The overall length of the corridor is around 1,000 km and covers an area of around 1,43,000 sq. km.

The Karnataka Pre University Education Department has proposed changes for the second PU exam. The midterm exam shall be conducted between November 29 to December 10, 2021. Evaluation of answer scripts shall be done by lecturers belonging to other colleges. Nodal centers shall be the new hub of all exam related activities from now on.
