Mission Karmayogi 2.0 to deepen civil service capacity building
Mission Karmayogi 2.0 is the next phase of the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), which was launched in 2020 for civil services training in India. The framework uses role-based learning, competency-based training, and the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform for government employees.
Mission Karmayogi framework
The Capacity Building Commission (CBC) is the custodian of the Mission Karmayogi framework. The CBC has set common quality standards for training content, role-based learning pathways, and institutional mechanisms for capacity building across government systems.
iGOT platform and training data
As of 4 April 2026, more than 1.5 crore learners were registered on the iGOT platform. The platform had more than 8 crore course completions and over 4,600 courses in multiple languages. Learning outcomes from the platform are integrated into performance appraisals.
Recent initiatives under Mission Karmayogi
“Sadhana Saptah” was observed from 2 April to 8 April 2026 as a week-long capacity-building programme for government officials. The programme included skill enhancement and AI-based training. Mission Karmayogi also partnered with Coursera Inc. on 11 March 2026 to provide upskilling courses on technology, data analytics, and leadership through iGOT.
