September 18, 2009: Castrol Awards for Cricketing Excellence
Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir were presented Castrol Awards on September 18, 2009. Gundappa Vishwanath was given the Castrol Lifetime Achievement award.

September 19, 2008: ‘Mukhaputa’ bags two international awards
Roopa Iyer’s debut film ‘Mukhaputa – The Cover Page’ has won the Best International Feature Film Award at the recently concluded Ireland international Film Festival.This film is about children suffering from HIV/AIDS and has also won the Silver Sierra Best Feature Film in California International Film Festival also. The award will be presented on October 23 in California.

September 16, 2009: Incredible India campaign gets GG2 Campaign of the Year’ (UK) award
The Incredible India campaign which promotes India as a Tourist Destination has won ‘GG2 Campaign of the Year’ award which is a prestigious award of UK. The award was received by Jagdish Chander, Director, India tourist Office, UK and Ireland.

The campaign was launched in 2002.

September 18, 2009: PETA Award to Parle
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has awarded biscuit maker Parle Products and ad agency Everest Brand Solutions for making a mint ad that highlights the plight of animals who are incarcerated at zoos.
