Lehda Devi Temple to Get Laser Light and Sound Show in ₹8 Crore Project

A laser light show and modern sound system are being installed at Lehda Devi Temple in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh. The project, costing about ₹8 crore, was under way as of 31 October 2026.

Planned visitor facilities

The planned evening show will present the temple’s history and significance, along with local religious stories. Security arrangements, parking and seating for visitors are also being developed at the complex.

District Magistrate Gaurav Singh Sograwal said the project aims to improve facilities for devotees and promote religious tourism. The temple is described as a major centre of faith in the district and as Adravana Vasini Lehda Devi Temple.

Important Facts for Exams

  • Beam scanning: Laser light shows can use galvanometer-mounted mirrors: applied control voltage deflects the beam, while paired scanners provide X–Y aiming across a square.
  • Diffraction patterns: Laser light shows can also spread a beam by diffraction: a grating splits monochromatic light into rays, while holograms create more varied patterns.
  • Audio signal path: A sound reinforcement system processes and amplifies input signals, such as microphones, before loudspeakers convert them back into sound for an audience.
