Japan to provide Rs 400 Crore financial assistance to WB Government for Social forestry

Japan will offer Rs 400 crore financial aid to the West Bengal Govt for social forestry in the state. The state Government has increased the amount of compensation to Rs 2 lakh for the families who died in tusker attacks. The State Government has also raised compensation for damage of crops due to elephant menace.
