IAMAI with Social Media platforms to curb violations of Code of Ethics during polls

Social Media platforms and IAMAI (Internet Mobile Association of India) have adopted a Voluntary Code of Ethics for the upcoming elections. As per this code, IAMAI and Social Media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Google will create a high priority dedicated reporting mechanism and appoint dedicated teams during the polls for taking expeditious action on any reported violations. The code will also facilitate transparency in paid political advertisements.
