The President of India Pranab Mukherjee has inaugurated the first phase of the Muziris Heritage Project at Kodungalloor in Thrissur district, Kerala to reinstate the historical and cultural significance of Muziris and to boost tourism. The project aims to showcase a culture that is more than 3,000 years old. This is first green Project of Kerala Government and largest heritage conservation project of India. Beside the project, the President also launched the website of the Muziris Heritage Project.
