India has recently set up an apparel training centre at Kadunia in Nigeria to support textiles industry and to promote skill development in the West African country. This is a first of its kind centre in Nigeria, set up in partnership with the Government of Nigeria. The centre has been established under the Cotton Technical Assistance Programme (Cotton TAP) for Africa. The programme is being implemented by the Department of Commerce, Government of India under 2nd India Africa Forum Summit.
