India’s first-ever bio-CNG plant for public vehicles has been inaugurated in Pune, Maharashtra. The plant will be commissioned by city-based Primove Engineering Private Limited and will use agricultural residue to generate CNG which can be used in automobiles as fuel. It was jointly inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. The bio-fuel will help in reducing the import of diesel up to 50 % and thus the huge amount of Foreign Exchange will be saved.

INIP is the 27th global nuclear insurance pool which was launched by state run General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), in association with non-life insurance companies. Both New India Assurance Co (NIAC) and INIP will issue the policy and administer the claims on behalf of the pool.

Dada had shown exemplary courage, devotion and gallantry beyond the call of duty during an encounter with a group of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and died in Kupwara on May 27, 2016 after killing 3 terrorists. In all, 82 Gallantry Awards have been awarded this year to armed forces personnel and members of paramilitary forces. They include one Ashok Chakra, 14 Shaurya Chakras, 63 Sena Medals (Gallantry), two Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry) and two Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry).
