Gautam Adhikari

Gautam Adhikari (23 September 1950 – 27 October 2017) was a pioneering figure in the Indian media and entertainment industry. Widely recognised for his contributions to television, film production, and broadcasting, he co-founded the Sri Adhikari Brothers Group (SAB Group), one of India’s earliest and most successful private entertainment companies. His creative vision and entrepreneurial spirit helped shape the evolution of modern Indian television.

Gautam Adhikari was born in 1950 in Maharashtra, India. He pursued a diploma in Commercial Art from the Government of Maharashtra’s Higher Art Examinations. His early inclination towards visual and performing arts drew him into the world of media, where he began as a filmmaker and creative professional before expanding into television production and broadcasting.
Belonging to a family with strong entrepreneurial instincts, he, along with his younger brother Markand Adhikari, ventured into media with a clear vision to create content that resonated with Indian audiences.
