India ranks third in the world’s first-ever global research on the rise of centi-millionaires, according to a new survey by advisory firm Henley & Partners.
Centi-millionaires are individuals with assets worth more than Rs. 830 crore (USD 100 million). India has 1,132 of the world’s 25,490 centi-millionaires, as it outnumbers countries such as the UK, Russia, and Switzerland. USA and China are in the first two places.

Every year the United Nations marks October 24 as World Development Information Day across the world.
This day is observed to create awareness towards the problems surrounding development in different nations and solutions to overcome them. In 1972, the UN General Assembly established World Development Information Day.

India’s first ‘Migration Monitoring System’ has been inaugurated in Mumbai. The system has been developed by the Department of Women and Child Development.
It is aimed at providing updated information on migrant pregnant women, lactating mothers and children instantly on a single system. The website-based Migration Tracking System (MTS) will track the movements of vulnerable seasonal migrant beneficiaries through unique identification numbers.

India test-fired indigenously developed new generation medium-range ballistic missile ‘Agni Prime’ (Agni-P) from the Odisha coast.
As per the Defence Research and Development Organisation, Agni Prime is a new generation advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles with range capability between 1,000 and 2,000km.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has won the ‘National Intellectual Property Awards 2021 and 2022’.
The institution has been identified as the top Indian academic institution for patents filing, grants and commercialisation. This award is presented by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
