C-DOT to Establish Quantum Communication Centre in Amaravati

India has taken a significant step toward strengthening its quantum technology ecosystem with the Centre for Development of Telematics signing an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government. The partnership aims to contribute to the emerging Amaravati Quantum Valley, a state-led initiative designed to position Andhra Pradesh as a national hub for quantum innovation.

Centre of Excellence in Quantum Technologies

C-DOT will establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence in Amaravati focusing on quantum communication, quantum security and privacy enhancement technologies. The facility will support research, testing and development activities aligned with the goals of the National Quantum Mission, with emphasis on secure communication infrastructure and quantum-safe systems.

Building an Integrated Quantum Ecosystem

The Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative seeks to bring together hardware manufacturing, software development, academic research and skilled manpower within a single ecosystem. State partnerships and infrastructure support form the backbone of the project, enabling the creation of a collaborative environment for quantum startups and technology developers.
