The Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Dr. Mahesh Sharma has recently released a commemorative coin of Rs 100 and a circulation coin of Rs 10 as a part of 475th Birth Anniversarycelebrations of Maharana Pratap in New Delhi. Maharana Pratap was the ruler of Mewar, a province in modern day Rajasthan. He was a brave warrior, successful organizer and ingenious strategist, who fearlessly fought the Mughals and protected his people until his death.
